PhD position (аспирантура) in quantum computing (USA)
We are looking for excellent candidates for Ph.D. positions in the School of Computing at Clemson University. The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Ilya Safro on algorithms for quantum computing, graph algorithms and hybrid quantum-classical algorithms. Some projects will include collaboration with national labs and industry.

The ideal candidate should have a basic background (at the level of courses) in
- quantum computing
- theoretical computer science, graphs, algorithms
- basic principles of machine learning
- basic numerical methods (in particular, in linear algebra)
- C/C++, Python

Basic knowledge in mathematical optimization is a big plus. Candidates with B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science, mathematics, physics or similar disciplines will be considered.
